April Showers Bring May Drinking Nites!
Happy May Smitheeites! Everybody got their parkas? Good! Seriously, 'round these here parts it's COLD in them thar hills. And valleys. And pretty much any place you happen to be at the moment. So what better time to announce

Diez de Mayo
A2 Smitheeite Nite Out
at the Corner Brewery
8pm onward

That would be Saturday, May 10th for those of you who don't know Spanish (hi!). I woulda picked Cinco de Mayo but it falls on a Tuesday and that's never good when you have to work the day after a drinking night. Since tres de Mayo sounds stupid, the 10th it was. Local Smitheeites are encouraged to stop by for some social gathering, possibly some games (I'll be lugging a couple card and/or small table games along) and drinking if you want. I'm not sure if CB has their full menu-y thing yet so plan on light bar snacks (easy sammiches, little snack-y things, the like) if you want to be eating.

I totally need a Smithee Drinking Nite icon. :(

I have a lovely picture of my jugs--uh, my Corner Brewery jugs!!!--on my Flickr account. That would make a nice icon!

Jeff & I have it in our calendar. I actually had it for the 3rd, but it's good that it's the 10th because I have dinner plans on the 3rd. That is more information that you needed to know, but now you know it!

I will tote along the jug and relinquish it to your custody. Do you want me to bring the game that you lent me for class? The kids loved it...I can use it again next year, but not until 2nd semester.

Oh--CB does not have its full menu yet. Personally, Jeff and I order from Aubrees (such that they know me as "Patti from the Corner". You are not the only ones that I stalk :)) and they bring it fairly quickly. Otherwise, you are limited to not-cheap sandwiches, quesadillas, nachos, tofudogs and pita bread/black bean dip (a personal favorite of mine).

Lunargeography--I hope you can make it this month!!!!! :)
