A birthday shout-out to Stalker Patti's husband, who isn't on LiveJournal, but is another year older today. And is nearly four feet taller than Weng Weng.

Another day, another Smithee peep birthday! Or so it seems. Actually, August is a slow time for Smithee birthdays.

But not today, for today is the anniversary of the natal day of tishalro!

We will be watching the Weirdest Western that we can find, and hoping for another Deadlands game Real Soon Now.

So...it appears as if the Smithee Awards has a birthday in April. Why not? It's a good month and so far, no Smithee LJ friends are claiming April for their birthday. I was going to just ignore the one con and the Smithee Awards in general and move on to May but the Earl thought it would be funny to watch a movie for a con so he did. Which means we really ought to watch a movie for us. Thus, I asked each of the Smithee Supreme Committee Members and their spouses to pick a movie to watch for the Smithee awards birthday. Now I'm asking you to pick from each of these eight excellent movies and choose the one overarching Smithee movie to watch for the ceremonies themselves.

You know, Google calendar e-mailed me Saturday to say that dagoski's birthday was Sunday but LJ sez it's today. So...ummm...sometime between Saturday and Tuesday our Ballot Luchadore will have gotten older. Congrads!

Whenever I find that a Russian has friended the Smithee Awards I kinda wonder what's going on there. Are they looking to improve their English? Are they bad movie fans? Is it our cool icons? I wish I could read the language so I could read their LJs but alas. The Promotions Ninja never actually went to any of her Russian classes. Sadly, I find that most of the Russian friends unfriend us within a week and go off on their way. We understand, it takes some fortitude to be a Smithee regular and bad movies aren't for everyone. However, we have three long term Russians who have stuck it out with the Smithee madness for at least a year poputchik_ru, l33thax0r, and madkoder. I know they've been with us for a year because at the beginning of the year when I started the birthday thing I looked to see when their birthdays were. Alas, they do not have the birthday notice turned on so I decided to make today honorary Russian Smithee Friend birthday day. Happy "Birthday" you three.

nickdanger42, who birthdayed this past Sunday (was that the 14th? Yes, my calendar confirms my suspicions). Sadly, I thought Monday was the 14th so I was all set to post this yesterday until I realized I had missed the actual day. Then I got distracted so here are your birthday wishes two days late.

OoooOOooo! Bogo birthday day (sorta) with a bonus being that one of the birthdays belongs to a Smithee crew member. If you are in or about VA and happen upon the Sultan's Lovely wife, wish her a jolly birthday (she's from England!). If that's too far to go, here in the homeland of the Smithees cherydactyl just got a little bit older. Happy birthday both of you!

Oh wait, yes we do because cake and booze and ice cream and presents all come with a birthday. Sometimes all at once in a sort of BoozeCakeIceCreamPresent. I don't have a BoozeCakeIceCreamPresent icon and I couldn't decide if theshunter was more deserving of a Chupacabra, some more Catman, maybe some Frogtown Cake, definitely a margarita (but how many? We have two, four and too many as icons, how does one choose?) or possibly a Cycle Toad. What do you get a long time Smithee groupee for their birthday? She probably already has a Chupacabra AND a Cycle Toad. So I went with the Alien because I'm confident that Thes does not have a confused gray. Happy Birthday!

Today is our very own dotquirk's birthday! She is often the mastermind on how to get my puppet creation ideas to actually work, as seen above. What you aren't seeing (besides her because it's a totally anonymous picture) is BatRatSpiderCrab, which turned out much cooler than I ever imagined. Huzzah Anon Dot!

Apparently, some of y'all *cough*tishalro*cough* don't have your birthday remindery turned on so some of us *cough*me*cough* aren't able to ascertain when we need to send out birthday wishes. A-hem! However, I have my sneaky Promotions Ninja Ways so I was able to ferret out that yesterday was Tishalro's birthday. Happy Belated Birthday wishes! I don't think we have a proper dancing Smithee LJ icon so I did the best I could: Here's a swinging ninja just for you!

Yes indeed, it is the Guru's birthday today and he is the magical 37. We're going out for some Big Ten Burrito lunch celebratin' on account. Because 37 is the tortilla birthday you know.

Hey all, just wanted to give a heads up about alessar, one of my Ann Arbor Promotions Ninjas in Training. Today is his more than 20th less than 50th birthday so indeed beware that fucker because he has a license to do as he pleases for the next (mathmathmaht)15.5 hours. Because he is the birthday boy.

I got to thinking that since I've started up this birthday thing, I really ought to know the birthdays of all the Smithee crew who do not have LJ accounts. So I sent out an e-mail asking of things and stuff to the Sultan, for he and his wife were still part of the great birthday mystery. Lo! It turns out that this past Sunday was the Sultan's birthday. Well I'll be a lollygagger. Also, happy belated. Have a sea on account.
