What the title sez. We had a really awesome show, even for a first time gig. We also had a lot of fun presenting and at the con in general. There's a sneak peek in the Penguicon Smithee 18 photo gallery complete with short annotations, I'll try to get the write-up done later today.

Also? The Tron guy was there! (No pic, sorry)

We're putting on a bad movie audience participation show called The Smithee Awards. Maybe you've heard of us?

It's about 30 minutes until we wade back into the fun chaos of Penguicon and then another 10 hours until we have to stop being first time con oglers and start being Smith-ka-teers and present the first ever Penguicon Smithee Awards. I hope people come!

Speaking of the Show, We're on tonight from 8 until midnight plus in the Columbia room. You can stop by for the whole thing or just parts but I'll tell you a little secret: We know the real reason Will Wheaton wasn't able to make it to the convention.

We've got some show swag plus if you nab one of us in and around the con we'll have buttons for the giving away. Speaking of the con, has anyone had a chance to look at what's going on? I'm a little bummed that the CandyFaber broke. On the other hand, that leaves me more time to decide if I want to go see a panel on Forensics, or see the liquid nitrogen ice cream, or listen to Will Wheaton (GoH) do a reading, or do beer tasting, or maybe learn about composting. That's just the tip of the ice berg in terms of scheduling. It seems like Pengucon is more "Things Geeks Like to DO" which is totally cool by me.

Indeed we did, but this year we're being extra crazy and presenting at Penguicon just seven days after the Ann Arbor show. We figure it's a good test of...umm...Smithee stamina? Something like that anyway. SO! If you missed the Smithees in Ann Arbor you have a second chance to see them

Con prices are $50 for the whole weekend or $20/$30/$20 Friday/Saturday/Sunday. There are all sorts of crazy awesome things going on...I mean a knife throwing demonstration plus Brazilian Beef? I wonder if there is some causality there...

If you can't make the Ann Arbor show in 11 days, fret not! We're also presenting at Penguicon the following weekend (the con runs May 1-3). We'll be showing the awards on:
